Thank you for visiting my website. You know how you got here, so I’d like to share the story of how I got here.
Hello, I am Christina Eadie, owner of Christina Home Designs. As an artist, I specialize in designing and manufacturing tabletop items to help make entertaining at home easier. After designing my first item, a Brie Baker with 18 Recipe cookbook, I moved on to other products : Easy Mac and Cheese, Easy Tapas and a Bartender Set (coming soon).
Having a passion for cooking and entertaining, Christina shares her experiences, creativity and ideas with you. Entertaining should be fun. At an early age I discovered that I loved to design and create things. Later in my life that creativity would extended to cooking and entertaining. But first, it was stained glass. I created my first piece at age 17 and in 1990 I opened my first stained glass business. It grew and so did I. Along the way I discovered that teaching glass skills afforded me an opportunity to share my passion and motivate others.
A business trip to the Florida Keys brought the inspiration for the next step in my journey and in 2006 Beach Kaleidoscopes were born. I wanted to create a piece that would evoke memories of the beach. The result was a variety of hand-fashioned beveled glass boxes filled with sand, shells, starfish and beach glass that could be rotated or shaken to mimic the endless natural changes of a beach. As their popularity grew so did the business and in 2015 I sold my retail glass business to focus on the production of Beach Kaleidoscopes in my studios in Maine and Texas.
So, you must be asking, how did I get from stained glass to home décor, or more specifically, a collection of products for entertaining? Christina Home Designs is a synergy of interests, experience and opportunity.
With Christina Home Designs I wanted to design and produce high quality tabletop products with form and function that would make entertaining easy. Cooking, another of my passions, is itself a creative exercise. Brie, one of my favorite foods, made my ceramic Brie Baker an obvious first product. Feedback from customers and friends soon made it clear that they could use some help being creative with their new Brie Baker and the “Easy Brie” cookbook soon followed. More new products are on the way and “Easy Tapas” is in the works.
Our mission, through our “Easy” cookbooks and the products we create or select is to share our passion for entertaining and to help you make entertaining simple and memorable.
